What General Pest Control Covers

Last updated: October 2026

General Pest Control covers the pest concerns, treatment locations, and tasks listed in your service agreement or written estimate. Depending on the approved scope, work may include inspection, pest identification, and applying or placing appropriate control products in agreed areas. It does not automatically include termites, bed bugs, wildlife, structural repairs, exclusion work, or pests and locations not identified in that agreement; those services require a separate estimate and your approval.

Our work is subject to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the West Virginia Pesticide Control Act, West Virginia Code Chapter 19, Article 16, and applicable West Virginia pesticide applicator certification rules under 61 CSR 12. We follow EPA pesticide labeling requirements in 40 CFR Part 156, including directions and precautions.

Product information and safety data are available as applicable. Pesticides are handled and disposed of according to product labels and local rules.

Relevant oversight may include the United States Environmental Protection Agency, West Virginia Department of Agriculture, West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, OSHA, and, when applicable, the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department.

Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit

Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method confirmed by WestVirginia Pest Solutions. We will confirm the planned visit and the service address.

Please provide access to the agreed treatment areas and tell us about relevant site conditions or access limits before the appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as practical and, where possible, before the scheduled arrival.

Any specific notice period or cancellation charge applies only if disclosed in your service agreement or estimate.

Our technician may find conditions that change the work needed, such as a different pest or inaccessible areas. We will explain the proposed change and any price effect before doing work outside the approved scope.

You may approve or decline that additional work. If weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances prevent service, we will contact you to arrange another appointment. A missed or delayed visit does not authorize an expanded treatment or change the agreed price.

How Estimates and Payment Work

An estimate describes the work and price based on the information available when it is prepared. The final scope may depend on an inspection, access to treatment areas, and the pest conditions found. Ask us to clarify any item before approving. An estimate is not approval for services that it does not list, and work begins only after you accept the proposed scope.

Payment timing and accepted payment methods will be stated in your estimate, invoice, or service agreement. Please pay according to those written terms.

If inspection or a change in conditions suggests additional work, we will explain the revised scope and price and request your approval before proceeding. You may decline the change; the original agreed work may still be completed if practical and safe.

No price, recurring charge, or financing arrangement applies unless it is disclosed and accepted in writing. Contact us promptly if you believe an invoice does not match the approved work so we can review it.

What to Expect About Service Guarantees

WestVirginia Pest Solutions does not promise a particular pest-free result or provide a warranty duration through these general terms. Any service warranty, retreatment commitment, or other performance promise applies only if it is specifically stated in writing in your estimate or service agreement.

That document should identify what is covered, how long coverage lasts, and how to request service under it. If no written warranty is provided, no additional warranty is created by this section.

A written commitment may depend on following preparation and safety instructions, allowing access to the agreed areas, and reporting continuing activity within the stated period. Conditions outside the approved scope, new pest activity, building defects, or failure to follow instructions may affect coverage if the written terms say so.

We will not treat a warranty as waived unless its written conditions support that result. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived. Ask us to explain any written warranty before approving service.

Responsibility for Service and Existing Conditions

To the extent permitted by law, WestVirginia Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim related to a specific service is limited to the amount paid for that service. This limit does not apply where law does not allow it, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden building conditions, or pest activity outside the approved scope, unless caused by our proven failure to perform the agreed work with reasonable care. Report a concern promptly so we can review the service and relevant records.

Pesticide work must follow applicable law and product directions, including FIFRA, the West Virginia Pesticide Control Act (West Virginia Code Chapter 19, Article 16), applicator requirements under 61 CSR 12, and EPA labeling rules in 40 CFR Part 156. These terms do not authorize a use inconsistent with a label or applicable rule.

Pesticide disposal must follow product directions and local requirements. Nothing here removes any rights or duties established by applicable law.
